JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: General Manager - Sales
Location : Mumbai
Experience : 12 – 15 yrs
Qualification :
Graduate in Science/Commerce  and MBA (Marketing)

Purpose of Job:

Plan and achieve sales targets in the assigned business area / territory within the frame of the departmental objectives.

JOB PROFILE :

  1. BUSINESS PLANNING & REVIEW :
    Estimate the market size, prepare annual sales plan, collect information about Competitors and monitor achievement of monthly key business figures (OV, TO, SM, Quantity, Collection Visits) and take corrective actions in order to achieve business plans
  2. CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT :
    Co-ordinate pre and after sales service, address customer concerns, ensure timely response and communication, visit customers, updation in the System,  in order to maintain long term Customer relationship. Control Sales promotion & Participate in fairs, conferences & seminars.
  3. BUSINESS ACQUISITION :
    Generate business opportunities, ensure timely offers, hold techno- commercial negotiations,
    decide product price and negotiation with the customer, follow-up and acquire the orders in order  to ensure linear order inflow at optimum sales margin, control payment collection.
  4. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (Overseas & Domestic) :
    Tap unexplored markets, new & existing customers, new applications, obtain product approvals, periodic market research, conduct sales promotion in order to achieve business growth & ensure internal communication related to sales systems & marketing activities & responsibilities down the line.
  5. ORDER EXECUTION:
    Control & check sales records for timely execution of orders etc.
  6. STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS :
              Ensure all statutory requirements related to excise, sales tax, octroi road permits, FDA are met with, in order to adhere to legal requirements. Also monitoring ISO requirement.

Desired Profile:

12 to 15 years of exp in selling and marketing of APIs in Domestic and Overseas, Leading a team of 8-10   professionals, excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
