| Asian
GMP Summit 2008, Singapore, organized by IQPC Worldwide Pte.
Ltd. was held during 28-30 July, 2008. The Theme was –
‘Achieving operational excellence by overcoming the
challenges in complying with cGMP guidelines across Asia &
beyond’. This event was designed to help understand
GMPs relevent to the pharmaceutical industry.
The summit was followed by workshops on 30 July 2008 to cover
the following:
1) Practical tips to build a Cleaning Validation Program according
to FDA/ICH guidelines.
2) Risk Based Approach for Supplier Qualification and Equipment
Validation.
Dr.
Mithilesh Trivedi – Vice President – QA &
QC at Calyx Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd. was invited
to chair The Asian GMP Summit 2008, to share his experience
and knowledge.
The
conference started on 28th July 2008, with the Chairperson
- Dr. Mithilesh Trivedi’s speech followed by 8 presentations
by different speakers. Dr. Mithilesh Trivedi presented his
talk on “Overcoming the Challenges of Differing Interpretations
of GMP in Different Locales” and “Laboratory Safety
for GMP & GLP”. On the following day, 29th July
2008, there were 6 presentations and one Panel discussion
on “How to stay One Step Ahead of GMP Auditors: Tips
to be Prepared for Audit Checks” where Dr. Mithilesh
Trivedi acted as the Moderator. A special interactive round
table session on ‘Overcoming US FDA regulatory hurdles
in the manufacturing of drugs from botanical sources’
was also organised.
The
conference was attended and appreciated by more than 30 participants
from different countries and featured fresh & exciting
insights from over 18 top-notch pharmaceutical companies,
regulatory bodies & experts.
Dr.
Mithilesh Trivedi is a permanent invitee to the IPA Council
(Indian Pharmaceutical Association) from April 2008 to April2010,
to share his knowledge and experience for future guidance
to IPA activities. |
