National Safety Council (NSC) was set up by the Ministry of Labour, Government of India in 1966, as an autonomous body to generate, develop and sustain a voluntary movement on Safety, Health and Environment at the national level. Considering the long felt need of its member-organizations for recognition of their outstanding performance in the field of occupational safety and health, NSC has introduced a Safety Award Scheme since 1998.
Safety comes from man's mastery of its environment & of himself. It is further influenced by individual's efforts and group co-operation. Only informed, alert, and skillful people who respect themselves and have regard for the welfare of others can achieve safety.
At Calyx safety aspects are built in the basic and detailed designing of equipment and facilities, in proper layout and strict adherence to the guiding norms during erection, commissioning and operation. Further we believe that even after all these inbuilt controls, the human aspect plays the most crucial role in ensuring safety since they are more prone to risks.
Here, attention to Safety, Health and Environment is not a matter of choice or priority, it is a matter of absolute conviction and commitment. We resolutely promote Safety, Health & Environment, both on and off the job and have worked over two million man hours without reportable accident.
