Calyx
at ChemSpec India 2008
The Calyx team thanks all our customers, suppliers and
visitors who took the time out in meeting us at the
recent event ‘ChemSpec India 2008’ held
at Bombay Exhibition Center in Goregaon, Mumbai, from
April 9 – 10, 2008. We appreciate the valuable
time spent with us for discussing prospective projects
and it was indeed a pleasure!

Calyx at CPhI
Japan 2008
Like last year, Calyx participated in this year’s
CPhI, Japan, held at Tokyo Big Sight, in Tokyo on 9th,
10th & 11th April 2008.
Calyx
was one of the few Indian Pharmaceutical companies who
participated in CPhI, Japan this year. In all, 414 companies
from over the world participated out of which 315 were
from Japan itself.
Calyx
displayed a grand booth in the exhibition. The main
agenda was to interact with our Japanese customers in
their own country and our booth provided a meeting place
for our Japanese customers. We shared our new services
in Contract Research to the Japanese market. All our
meetings were conducted by Dr. Sanjeev Gupte - General
Manager, Business Development for Japan with able support
from Mr. Isao Mori - Business Development Consultant
in Japan and Mrs. Kazuko Yamamoto-Business Coordinator
in Japan. Our existing customers as well as new customers
kept Calyx representatives busy with meetings. There
was a large response from curious, walk-in customers
too. The overall response to the exhibition was overwhelming.

EVERY OBSTACLE PRESENTS AN OPPORTUNITY " |

In ancient times, a king had a boulder placed on a roadway.
Then he hide himself and watched to see if anyone would remove
the huge rock. Some of the king's wealthiest merchants and
courtiers came by and simply walked around it.
Many
loudly blamed the king for not keeping the roads clear, but
none did anything about getting the big stone out of the way.
Then a peasant came along carrying a load of vegetables. On
approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden
and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After
much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. As the peasant
picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a purse lying
in the road where the boulder had been. The purse contained
many gold coins and a note from the king indicating that the
gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway.
The peasant learned what many others never understand.
